Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer, Veracyte
Bonnie Anderson's amazing achievements in the medical field made her an ideal candidate for a 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award. Despite not having a degree in business, Ms. Anderson managed to form her own start-up molecular diagnostics company to help with early cancer diagnosis and the reduction of expensive and unnecessary procedures. Under Ms. Anderson's leadership, Veracyte has exceeded expectations in regards to commercialization. The Wall Street Journal included it in its "The Next Big Thing" list in 2011.
Ms. Anderson received the Silicon Valley Business Journal's "Women of Influence" award in 2013, and was also named one of the "Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business" and one of the "Best Bay Area Life Sciences CEOs" by the San Francisco Business Times.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Brookfield Properties Corporation
Richard Clark has come a long way from his roots in Philadelphiain terms of success, that is. In August 2001, it was announced that Mr. Clark would be named president and chief executive officer of New York-based Brookfield Properties Corporation and take over the following April. After the September 11 attacks damaged several of the company's properties, Richard proved himself to be a strong leader, helping the company get back to where it was and grow beyond.
Today, Richard is a senior managing partner and global head of real estate at Brookfield, CEO of Brookfield Property Partners, and chairman of Rouse Properties and serves on the board of directors at General growth properties and other affiliates of Brookfield.
President, Prince George's Community College
Charlene Dukes made history in 2007 when she was the first woman named president of Prince George's Community College.
Ms. Dukes was named Outstanding Administrator of the Year at Prince George's Community college and Administrator of the Year by the Maryland Association of Higher Education in 2001. In 2006, she received the Women of Achievement Award from the Southern Maryland Business and Professional Women's Club.
John Esposito '78
President and Chief Executive Officer, Warner Music Nashville
While you may find John Esposito in the company of well-known singers and songwriters today, in the 1970's you probably would have found him DJing at W亚色影库 or performing with one of his bands as a vocalist, drummer, or guitar player. Even decades ago, it was obviously that Mr. Esposito's future would have a great soundtrack.
As president of Warner Music Nashville, Mr. Esposito is responsible for the Nashville branches of Warner Bros., Atlantic, Electra, and Word Label Group. Outside of the studio, Mr. Esposito supports a variety of causes that he believes in and sits on the boards of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
