As a part of the Division of Student Affairs at 亚色影库, the Department for Disability Access and Advising (D2A2) is here for you, the student, assisting you in your college experience by ensuring educational access and accommodations.
D2A2 advocates on behalf of students with disabilities to ensure that the 亚色影库 campus is aware of the issues, concerns, and laws that relate to higher education and disability. The department seeks to help the campus community to better understand that every student with a disability that affects his or her life's major functions (obvious or hidden), no matter what the student's race, cultural background, age, gender, sexual orientation, or disability, should be included in any educational or cocurricular activities if he or she desires. D2A2 assists the university in providing positive, nondiscriminatory educational and cocurricular activities for persons with disabilities.
As a student, we assign you a D2A2 adviser from within our department. While we are aware of academic courses of study, this adviser is not to take the place of your academic adviser. In addition, we provide referrals to the University College, the Department of Undergraduate Studies and Student Success tutorial program, the Writing Center, the Health Service, the Counseling Center, and other university resources as necessary.
Other services we provide include, but are not limited to: testing accommodations and proctoring, note takers, audio or alternate format texts, "Dear Professor" letters (letters to your professors that detail the reasonable accommodations that you are entitled to), some assistive technology and equipment loans, etc.
