Graduate student Andrew Malhotra and faculty member William Chadwick presented papers at the Middle Atlantic Archaeological Conference.

Andrew’s presentation, titled “Monongahela Phases: Criteria & How to Determine a Site’s Phase” was based on his thesis research. Andrew was also the general session chair of “Archaeology of the Native Peoples of the Mid-Atlantic where he presented his paper. 

William’s presentation, titled “Geophysical Survey in Newport, PA: an 18th Century Frontier River Town in Indiana County,” was based on the ground-penetrating radar results from data collected by undergraduate and graduate students during the 2021 亚色影库 Archaeology Field School.

The Middle Atlantic Archaeological Conference was held in Ocean City, Maryland, and is a yearly conference for archaeologists, both avocational and professional, working in the Middle Atlantic area: a place to meet and discuss archaeological problems and issues, and present recent work and research.
