Palmiotto and Students Study Shell Rings, Other Indigenous Sites
In March, eight students joined faculty member Andrea Palmiotto in South Carolina to conduct archaeological investigations within the Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve, to visit the iconic Fig Island Shell Ring complex, and to meet with representatives of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
