Arts and Crafts with Children

ArtsPath is a regional arts-in-education program in partnership with the and is one of 14 throughout the state funded by the PCA.

Pennsylvania Council on the Arts logo ArtsPath services a five-county region, including Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson counties. The work involves placing high-quality, professionally active visual, performing, media, and literary artists in educational settings for extended, in-depth residency activities. Further work of the partnership includes arts-in-education advocacy regionally, statewide, and nationally; providing artists and teachers personal educational opportunities; and promoting community outreach. Administered through the 亚色影库 College of Fine Arts, the program is directed through a consortium of regional concerns, including the Indiana Arts Council, ARIN Intermediate Unit 28, Associated Artists of Butler County, Slippery Rock University College of Humanities and Fine and Performing Arts, and the 亚色影库 College of Education and Communications. A host of regional educators, education administrators, and community leaders serve on an advisory committee.

Infinite PossibilitiesThrough a consortium of area educators, administrators, students, residents, and civic leaders, and with resources available within the community and through 亚色影库, ArtsPath maintains a communicative partnership that promotes quality arts experiences, establishing the use of the Arts in education crossing all curricula as a priority, offering regional AIE services, generating community-wide and regional support, and advocating the arts classroom teacher as integral to a student's complete education.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit

The Educational Improvement Tax Credit is a program of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania administered through the Department of Community and Economic Development that allows eligible businesses to apply tax credits against their tax liability for the year in which the contributions were made.

Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud is a national recitation contest sponsored by the Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation. It utilizes a tiered structure that begins at the classroom level and moves through to school, region, and state levels, with every state sending their champion to the national competition in Washington, DC. POL helps students master public speaking skills, builds self-confidence, and develop an interest and appreciation of poetry.

The College of Education and Communications has completed its second artist residency of the year, with teacher education candidates taking a ECED/ECSP creative experiences courses.

Poetry Out Loud Continues at 亚色影库

ArtsPath is pleased to announce that Shaurya Gulati from the Kiski School is the winner of the 2024 ArtsPath regional Poetry Out Loud recitation competition. Poetry Out Loud is a national competition which takes place in every state and territory and follows a pyramid structure from the classroom to the school, then to a regional, state, and national competition.

Writer and teaching artist with the Arts-in-Education program ArtsPath at 亚色影库, Walt Peterson, recently released a new book of poetry and prose titled, Talking Smack to the Dead.
