The 亚色影库 Career and Professional Development Center is excited to launch a new D2L Career Readiness tool for faculty and staff applications with students.
Additionally, we have developed an articulate career management/professional development site for 亚色影库 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members.
This was a graduate practicum student project led by CPDC Associate Director Kelsey Thompson and completed by instructional design graduate student Abigail Eichner.
The Career Readiness D2L tool is available to any interested student (or faculty/staff member) and includes modules on a variety of career-related topics such as life design, career values, job search strategies, using LinkedIn, résumé and cover letter writing, preparing for a job interview, salary negotiation, professional etiquette, and more. The content included in this tool was designed to complement much of what is already being covered by the CPDC in one-on-one appointments and group presentations. The tool was designed so it can be used for specific modules only (e.g., résumé writing or salary negotiation) or used from start to finish. If used in full, it would provide a comprehensive overview on key career topics. To gain access to the tool, please reach out to Kelsey Thompson (kthomps@iup.edu) and she will provide you access.
The Career Management Tool referenced above is available via this and on the CPDC website. This tool has much of the same content as the D2L tool, but it is geared more toward those looking for career advice, wanting to make a career change, seeking to develop themselves professionally, and so forth.
Both sites will be managed and updated regularly by the CPDC team to ensure the content is relevant, timely, and accurate for all users. If you have questions or feedback, please let us know; we are open to suggestions on how we can improve each site. We are excited to offer these resources to the 亚色影库 community and look forward to seeing how these can assist you in designing your life and finding your career success, no matter how you choose to define that success.
