The Careers Preparation National Center is pleased to announce funding for six National Centers of Academic Excellence Cooperative Learning Certificates. These funded certificates are available to students from NCAE-designated schools who wish to participate in the eight-month NCAE Co-Op Cybersecurity Program, running from January to August 2025.
Program Highlights:
- Cybersecurity Risk Management Certificate (University of Washington): Students will earn a certificate covering key topics such as risk management, threat mitigation, ethical hacking, digital forensics, and security policies. (pce.uw.edu)
- Customized Learning Pathways: Utilizing AI-powered CyberGEN.IQ, students will specialize in network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, or basic cybersecurity based on their individual strengths and career goals.
- Collaborative Learning Environment: Students will join the Cyber 12 peer group, a simulated cybersecurity consulting company, working with mentors, peers, and industry professionals through competitive internships and hands-on projects.
- Virtual Reality Learning: Immersive VR scenarios provide realistic cybersecurity experiences to develop high-stakes problem-solving skills.
- Real-World Experience: Exposure to high-demand areas in cybersecurity, developing skills for today’s digital landscape.
- Certificates from Norwich University, EC-Council, and ISC2: Receive a certificate of completion from the Careers Preparation National Center at Norwich University, no-charge certification from EC-Council, and an ISC2 CMC certificate.

- College student (ages 18–25) with an interest in cybersecurity
- Commitment to learning and developing a cybersecurity career
- Ability to commit to a year-long immersive program
