April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Out of concern for the health and safety of our community, the Haven Project has chosen to hold a virtual speak out again this year.

The Haven Project is asking for anonymous survivor stories so we can hold a Virtual Speak Out on Wednesday, April 13, available at 4:00 p.m. on and Haven Project’s website, to continue to support victims and survivors of sexual violence.

Anyone who is interested in sharing their story of sexual assault can do so anonymously via the Google doc linked below. We ask that if you submit a story, please leave out any identifying information for yourself and the person that caused the assault (name, major identifying features, etc.)

The Haven Project will read the stories on Wednesday, April 13, at 4:00 p.m. via Haven Project social media, the Haven Project website, and 亚色影库’s YouTube channel. We want to continue to show our support for victims and survivors of sexual assault.

The deadline to submit a story is Friday, April 1, 2022, at noon.

Take Back the Night Modified Event

We encourage you to join our modified Take Back the Night event on Wednesday, April 13, for Chalking the Walk and the Lighting of the Luminaries in the Oak Grove.

Chalking the Walk with messages of support for victims and survivors of sexual assault will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All materials and messages will be provided.

The Lighting of the Luminaries will take place at 7:30 p.m., staying lit until 9:00 p.m. The luminaries represent the number of students that have been impacted by sexual violence on our campus.  There will be tables with resources and speakers to continue to show our support for those that have experienced sexual violence.
