Jessica Mulvihill ('02, D'16), director of Education Abroad and National Student Exchange in the Office of International Education at 亚色影库 has received a Fulbright Award to Japan. The was awarded in the Spring of 2020 and due to the pandemic has been postponed until June 2022.

Jessica will be visiting various Japanese institutions of higher education in Tokyo and Hiroshima, the Japanese Ministry of Education, and will complete her research project studying mental health support for university students in Japan. She will be joined by seven other Fulbright awardees from across the United States.

The Fulbright Program in Japan 

The United States Congress created the Fulbright Program in 1946, in the aftermath of World War II, to promote mutual understanding between the United States and the rest of the world. Two weeks after the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the bill to create the program was presented to Congress.
