The University College, 亚色影库 Libraries, and the Office of Social Equity and Title IX are happy to sponsor a talk by Martin Roger Boyd, Jr. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The presentation will be held in room 114 of the Humanities and Social Sciences building.
Born and raised in Philadelphia were he was "pretty well off" and wanted for little, Boyd's life took an unexpected turn when, at age 20, he was sentenced to prison time for attempted murder—a crime he claims he did not commit.
Boyd's time in prison began a journey of self-discovery. He became a tutor and mentor, and eventually a gym instructor, all the while working to change the paradigm for how society perceives previously incarcerated individuals. Today, he is a free business owner and mentor with plans for an amazing future.
We hope you'll attend the presentation and hear him talk about his journey!
This presentation can also be attended via Zoom at meeting ID: 97330959232.
