The Six O'Clock Series will launch its Spring 2011 season with a program on award-winning film FUEL on January 31 at 6:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium.

Cosponsored by the Entertainment Network, the program will feature film director Josh Tickell and producer Rebecca Tickell. FUEL is the 2008 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award Winner. The Tickells will address what they believe to be “the world's addiction to oil that taxes the environment, entangles us in costly foreign policies, and threatens the nation's long-term stability.”

The Six O'Clock Series will present twelve programs during the Spring semester on issues ranging from studying abroad to civil rights to sex.

Presentations include

  • “Tales from Abroad: Students Who Have Lived to Tell,” February 7
  • “Power on Earth,” February 14
  • “College Scams and Identity Theft,” February 21
  • “Losing Faith in Faith,” February 28
