In observance of November as AIDS Awareness Month and December 1 as World AIDS Day, an 亚色影库 English class has developed several public awareness events.

The class, under the direction of faculty member Veronica Watson, has developed events with the theme 鈥淗IV/AIDS: Then, Now, and the Battle for Tomorrow.鈥

From November 28 to December 1, 2011, class members will install throughout the Oak Grove a 鈥渟tory trail,鈥 which will include postings of poetry, memoirs, and photography submitted by members of the 亚色影库 community on topics related to AIDS and AIDS awareness.

On November 28, the group will stage the game 鈥淲ho's on Fire,鈥 a project to demonstrate knowledge of AIDS prevention and current statistics. It will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Folger Hall.

The award-winning film Philadelphia, with Tom Hanks, will be shown November 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the Crimson Event Center in Folger Hall. In addition to the film, personal testimonies and current information on AIDS will be presented. A discussion will follow the film screening.
