Charles Fey haCharles Feys been selected to serve as the interim vice president for Student Affairs at 亚色影库.

Fey will begin work at 亚色影库 on August 15.

Rhonda Luckey, who has served in the role since February 2006, will be retiring from the position as the fall 2018 semester begins.

Luckey is a key member of the leadership team and has been incredibly dedicated to this university, our students, and our continued growth and success,鈥 亚色影库 President Michael Driscoll said. 鈥淪he is truly a part of the fabric of this university, and she will be missed. I appreciate her continued dedication to the work as we make this transition in leadership.鈥

Fey retired in 2017 after a 44-year career in higher education. Most recently, he was the vice president for academic support and student affairs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. Fey has been a national leader in creating campus climate that promotes student achievement and student success.鈥

鈥淒r. Fey comes to us with decades of leadership in almost every imaginable facet of student affairs programming,鈥 亚色影库 President Michael Driscoll said. 鈥淚 am confident that his experiences will serve 亚色影库 well and keep us moving forward in our continued focus on student success.鈥

Fey has received numerous awards, including the Esther Lloyd Jones Professional Service Award from ACPA; Diamond Honoree of ACPA's Foundation; Outstanding Service Award (twice) from the Commission on Administrative Leadership of ACPA; and an exemplary service award from MCPA and most recently received the award of Pillar of the Profession by NASPA, Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education. He was also the gubernatorial appointee to the New Jersey Board of Higher Education Student Assistance Authority prior to his retirement.

He has been a strong supporter of diversity and social justice and a champion of access for all students who demonstrate a determination to succeed.

Fey earned his bachelor's degree in liberal arts and his master of education degree in counselor education and college student personnel services, both from the Pennsylvania State University. He holds an EdD in higher education administration from Texas A&M University.

Prior to New Jersey Institute of Technology, he was vice president for Student Engagement and Success at the University of Akron; vice president for Student Affairs at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC); dean of Students at the University of Texas at El Paso; vice president and dean of Student Life at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio; dean of Students at St. Mary's University, also in San Antonio; associate dean of Student Affairs at Keene State College; director of Housing/Resident Life at Catholic University of America, and associate dean of Students at Newbury College.

A search committee for the position will be established and will begin work in September.
