The Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Program is responsible for coordinating distribution of information required by the Drug Free Schools and Community Act (DFSCA) and Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Regulations. These federal regulations require campuses to certify that they have adopted and implemented programming to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees.

We are required to notify students of the following:

  1. Standards of Conduct that prohibit unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol on university property.
  2. Description of health risks associated with the use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol.
  3. Legal Sanctions for alcohol law violation under state law.
  4. Legal Sanctions for marijuana law violations under state law.
  5. Legal Sanctions for drug violations under federal law.
  6. A description of counseling services.
  7. A statement of the disciplinary sanctions the university will impose on students who violate policies or laws.

Cannabis/Marijuana On Campus

Cannabis/Marijuana and Medical marijuana is not permitted on campus under federal law. Although state law has changed the federal law has not, and marijuana remains classified as a Schedule 1 drug. As a result, regardless of state and local law changes, institutions of higher education are expected to continue to abide by the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act (Edgar Part 86) by maintaining policies which prohibit marijuana possession, use, or distribution by students, staff, and faculty.  If you have a PA medical marijuana card (those from other states are not transferable to PA) and you plan to live on campus, you need to contact the 亚色影库 Director of Residential Living at 724-357-2696.

In addition, cannabis/marijuana is not decriminalized in Indiana County, and possession is punishable by full extent of the law.
