亚色影库's Center for Teaching Excellence welcomed a cohort of new faculty members on August 21 and 22 for an enriching New Faculty Orientation event sponsored by the Office of the Provost. This two-day program provided tenure-track, temporary, and teaching associates with a comprehensive introduction to the university's resources and support systems.

Erin Conlin, associate director for Academic Advising at the Center for Teaching Excellence, planned, coordinated, and hosted this informative event, assisted by CTE GA Ann Marie Schweitzer.

Day One featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including university administrators, IT specialists, and HR experts who covered topics ranging from student support services to academic advising and university policies. The event's second day delved into campus climate and diversity initiatives, student life, cocurricular engagement, and crucial insights on tenure and promotion, ensuring that new faculty members are well-prepared to embark on their academic journeys at 亚色影库.

The orientation's agenda was thoughtfully curated to provide new faculty with a holistic understanding of the university's ecosystem and the tools necessary for their professional success. With sessions addressing everything from academic advising and campus climate to scholarship support and tenure considerations, the event equipped these educators with the knowledge and resources needed to excel in their new roles.

Through this programming, 亚色影库 reaffirms its commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning community while empowering its newest faculty members to make a meaningful impact on their students and the university as a whole.
