Fifty-three new ɫӰ students participated in our first “Flying Start” Summer Bridge Program in August 2024. The Summer Bridge Program is part of ɫӰ’s Title III Grant Program, supported by the US Department of Education. It is a collaboration between the University College and the Department of Language, Literature, and Writing.
Students took four credits worth of coursework in the three weeks leading up to the official fall semester: ENGL 101 (Composition I) and UGSS 281 (Learning Strategies for Academic Writing). Tuition was rolled into students’ flat tuition plan for fall. Students also participated in a campus tour and the Pizza and Panelist Party, featuring a panel of five accomplished upper-class undergraduate students, and received a special edition T-shirt.
