The Alumni Association Board of Directors looks for opportunities and programs that will enable graduates of 亚色影库 to stay connected to their alma mater.
Mary O. Morgan ’91, President
Mary is a proud graduate of the Eberly College of Business, having earned a bachelor of science degree in management in 1991. Upon graduation, she joined the University Advancement team at 亚色影库, serving first as the assistant director and then director of Annual Giving, taking responsibility for managing the annual phonathon, direct mail solicitations, University Family, and parent giving programs. In 1996, she joined the Office of Alumni Relations and took a leadership role with the newly created student alumni association, the 亚色影库 Ambassadors, in developing programs to become a highly respected organization. In addition, she was part of evolving and growing programs, including volunteer cultivation and engagement, increased student engagement connecting alumni and students, navigating the changing landscape of internet presence and communications with a diverse constituent base, and developing opportunities for alumni to stay connected with 亚色影库.
Mary retired from 亚色影库 in 2021 as the assistant vice president of Alumni and Friends. In 2023, she was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for Service, recognizing her years of serving alumni and students by engaging them in the life of the university and recognizing their many accomplishments. She continues to stay involved with 亚色影库 by serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and volunteering as a Regional Alumni Ambassador in Indiana County. She lives in Indiana, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Scott.
Sara B. Lawer ’06, M’08, Vice President
Sara Barnett Lawer is a proud two-time alumna of 亚色影库. She earned her bachelor of science in special education in 2006 and her master’s in student affairs in higher education in 2008. She dedicated over 13 years to her alma mater, serving in various roles, including assistant director and alumni director for the Office of Alumni Engagement.
Following her time at 亚色影库, Sara transitioned to Anthology Inc., an education technology company. There, she initially focused on project management before becoming a manager of implementation and consulting for CRM & Insights. In this role, she provides insight, oversight, and guidance to a team of implementation consultants, solution architects, and designers, working on a variety of student and alumni solutions.
As an 亚色影库 legacy, she proudly maintains her family’s connection to the university, which includes her parents, John Barnett ’78 and Carol Gilleran Barnett ’77, M’78, who are also alumni.
Sara resides in Indiana, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Andy, her daughter, Hadley, and their golden retriever, Mabel.
Chad Jurica ’07, M’09, Secretary
Chad Jurica, EdD, is a proud member of the second graduating class of 亚色影库’s Disability Support Services program and served as the program’s commencement speaker in 2007. He went on to earn his MA in student affairs in higher education and his EdD in educational leadership, laying the foundation for a career devoted to student success, disability services, and inclusive excellence.
Currently at the University of Pittsburgh, Chad supports students with diverse disabilities, coordinates accessibility services, and advises student engagement programs that foster holistic development. He also serves on the Sexual Assault Task Force, the Survivor’s Support Network, and as a Mental Health Champion, while completing Pitt’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program to further his commitment to equity and belonging.
Beyond Pitt, Chad serves on the board of Academic Success Advocates, a nonprofit organization supporting parents of children with special needs. His dedication has been recognized through the 亚色影库 Impact Award (2021–22), reflecting his continued efforts to advance accessibility, inclusion, and alumni engagement.
