Welcome, Families and Friends
The 亚色影库 community extends a warm welcome to the families and friends of a very distinguished graduating class. Over the past several years, class members have worked and studied and are now ready to begin a new chapter in their lives. For some, this will mean a job and the responsibilities of a family. For others, it will involve further study or training. The university community hopes that, whatever course their future takes, these graduates will look back on their years here as having prepared them to meet and deal with the challenges that life will present.
In today’s ceremony, more than 360 undergraduate and graduate students are recognized for their academic achievement. The 亚色影库 community joins parents, spouses, relatives, and friends in congratulating the graduates on their accomplishments and in wishing for them the happiness of a productive life, the respect of their fellow human beings, and the love of their families.

Welcome, Graduates, to the 亚色影库 Alumni Association
Welcome to the 亚色影库 Alumni Association. As a graduate of 亚色影库, you are automatically a member. There are no dues to pay and no rules or regulations to follow. The association brings alumni together on campus, virtually, and in regions across the nation and around the globe, providing opportunities for networking with fellow graduates. Celebration Toast
On the day of commencement, Saturday, December 14, 2024, the Office of Alumni and Friends will honor the Class of 2024 with a celebration toast from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Breezedale Alumni Center. Graduates and their families and friends are invited to walk through historic Breezedale and enjoy a champagne or sparkling cider toast to celebrate the occasion. Graduates will receive a commemorative champagne flute while supplies last.
The University
亚色影库 was established in 1875 and is one of only two schools in Pennsylvania鈥檚 State System of Higher Education designated a 鈥渉igh research activity鈥 doctoral university by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions. 亚色影库 has a long tradition of academic excellence and receives frequent accolades, including designation as one of The Best 390 Colleges in the 2025 edition of a Princeton Review book by that name. The university provides an intellectually challenging experience to more than 9,000 students at four sites鈥攁ll easily accessible from Pittsburgh and the Middle Atlantic region.
Academic offerings include roughly 100 undergraduate programs and scores of graduate (master鈥檚 and doctoral degree) programs. Unusual opportunities for research at all levels and the Cook Honors College provide special challenges for academic growth. The variety and quality of instruction are characteristic of a big university, yet at 亚色影库, close, one-to-one relationships develop within the teaching framework, and a strong sense of community prevails.
