Mary Renck Jalongo, professor emerita, Professional Studies in Education, recently published the edited book Canine-Campus Connection: Roles for Dogs in the Lives of College Students. Lorraine Guth, Department of Counseling, and Theresa McDevitt, 亚色影库 Libraries, collaborated on three of the chapters. Haley Romanko, Department of Counseling master's student, had several of her photographs featured in this publication.
Many college and university personnel have implemented initiatives that offer students the documented benefits of positive human-animal interaction. Accumulating evidence suggests that assistance dogs, therapy dogs, and shelter dogs can support student wellness and learning.
