Allergy injections are available at the Health Service. Any student who would like to have their allergy shots administered by the Health Service staff will need to have an exam by the Health Service Physician prior to getting their first injection. Returning patients do not have to be examined by the physician.
Fees
There will be an initial exam fee of $10, as well as $5 per injection for the semester. Please call the Health Service at 724-357-2550 to make an appointment. You will be required to bring a copy of your order from your allergist, as well as documentation of your last injection.
For any missed appointment, a standard 鈥渘o show fee鈥 will be charged to your student account. You will be required to provide your allergy serum/medication and reorder it as needed.
Allergy Injection Requirements
- Initial (very first) allergy injection must be given by allergist.
- Name, address, phone, and fax number of allergist.
- Current, precise, written instructions from prescribing allergist, signed by the allergist.
- Schedule of administration.
- Dose/volume of serum to be administered.
- Concentration and vaccine contents.
- Expiration date of serum.
- Specific instruction for missed injections.
- Instructions for local and systemic reactions.
- Date of last injection and reaction

The following forms/letters should be printed out and completed. They will need to be brought to the Health Service when scheduling your first appointment.
