International students at 亚色影库

What Is ACE Tutoring?

American Culture and English Tutoring (ACE) tutoring is a unique opportunity for ALI students to benefit from individualized instruction with highly qualified peer tutors.

Where Is it?

Tutoring sessions are held in the ALI located in Delaney Hall B25 inside the Office of international education.

When Is it?

ALI students in the beginner to intermediate-high level are assigned an ACE Tutoring class in their schedule. ALI students and their tutors meet twice a week for an hour and 15 minutes on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

What Do ALI Students Do?

Each ALI student is assigned a tutor. Students select the topics or skills they need to master (or want to study) from a list organized by the tutors and ACE Tutoring supervisor. Tutor assignments are based on students' needs and interests. Student and tutor preferences are taken into account whenever possible.

Do All Students Have to Attend ACE Tutoring?

ACE Tutoring is a required class for full-time ALI students. It is a different format from other ALI classes and offers an opportunity to get involved with English learning through individualized interactions.

Who Are the ACE tutors?

All tutors are current 亚色影库 students. Many are graduate students in 亚色影库's English Department, language majors, and Honors College students. Tutors are highly qualified and have been carefully selected and trained to become ACE tutors by the American Language Institute administration.
