Overdue fines and replacement fees are imposed to encourage borrowers to return materials on time and in good condition in order to make them available to other users.

Fines and Fees for Circulating Books

A fine of $0.35 per day, per item, will be charged for an overdue library book.

Once a book is 15 days overdue, it will be declared lost and a $75 replacement fee will be applied. 

Fines and Fees for Reserve Items

Overdue fines for the late return of Reserve items will accrue at $1 per hour while the item is overdue.

If a reserve item is lost, a fee equal to the replacement cost of the item will be applied.

Fines and Fees for Laptops and Equipment

Overdue fines for the late return of laptops and other media equipment range from $1 to $20 per day depending on type of equipment borrowed.

Replacement fees range from $70 for a camera or camcorder to $3,000 for a laptop or MacBook.

Notifications

Notices about due dates, overdue items, and fines and fees will be sent to you via email. Visit Policies and Processes for information about what notices you will receive regarding your checked out items, and when such notices will arrive.

You may also check your library account at any time to see current fines or fees.

Payments

Fines and fees for tuition-paying students will be applied to student accounts at Student Billing. There is a one-business-day delay before the fines and fees will be transferred. Payment can be made either online through 亚色影库-EasyPay (available in ) or at the Student Billing Office in Clark Hall (cash or money order only).

If you are not a tuition-paying patron, a charge of $15 or more in fines will result in a loss of library privileges. Fines issued to non-tuition-paying patrons must be paid at the Stapleton Library Circulation Desk.
