The 亚色影库 Community Music School is accepting applications for private lesson instruction. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through July 10. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the decision by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education that there will not be any face-to-face instruction during the summer semester, all lessons will be held online. While there will generally be an instructor for most instruments, it is possible that one may not be available for a particular instrument.
Those interested in lessons on the primary string instruments of violin, viola, cello, and string bass should contact the director of the 亚色影库 String Project, Linda Jennings, at ljenning@iup.edu.
The 亚色影库CMS summer semester is 10 weeks in length and begins June 1. The minimum number of lessons to sign up for is only five for the summer, so scheduling of lessons is very flexible and can happen any time that both the instructor and student are available. Lessons can be 30, 45, and 60 minutes and, as available, may be scheduled with either a teaching apprentice, teaching artist, or 亚色影库 faculty member. With the pressure of 鈥渁ll online learning鈥 about to be in the rear-view mirror as the school year winds up, taking a few lessons to get ahead and simply enjoy musical learning is a great way to spend some of the summer. And without the pressure of everything being online, a few lessons for an enjoyable activity should actually help with any online burnout you may be experiencing.
