CALSA initiated its Speaker Series Spring 2013. Funding permitting, the series will continue. The series includes students in their senior year and alumni, Latino students, and students interested in Latino culture and Latin America, who speak about graduate school and career opportunities. The objective is to motivate and inspire students to consider graduate studies and further their education in order to pursue a profession of their choice.
The subjects covered in the talks are many, including the 亚色影库 experience, preparation for graduate studies, and important strategies for graduate school admissions and funding. Internship and career opportunities are also covered.

Rosamaria Ponciano, a 2011 alumna with BAs in Environmental Regional Planning and Development and Geography GIS and Cartography, spoke on February 15, 2013, at Stephenson Hall.

Altagracia Moquette is a 2013 alumna who has delayed her matriculation in the MA program in Sociology at 亚色影库. She will be working for the Department of Human Services in Pittsburgh for a year.
