Into the Streets Group

Every semester, 亚色影库 faculty, staff, and students build meaningful relationships with each other and community members while completing service projects during the biannual Into the Streets event.

During this biannual day of service, 亚色影库 students are invited to become involved in the community by helping various nonprofit and/or human service agencies. It is an opportunity for local organizations to finish projects that may have been postponed due to lack of time or resources. Past projects include tree planting/landscaping, conducting clean-up efforts, painting, and offering services to the aged or physically challenged. The projects are determined by the agencies involved.

This semester, Into the Streets is scheduled for multiple weekends. We will host service projects on both Saturday, April 5, 2025 and Saturday, April 12, 2025. Visit the event signup genius form to learn project dates and times. Projects will conclude at 3:00 p.m. on both dates.

The 亚色影库 Office of Student Leadership will host an Into the Streets HQ in the HUB Allegheny room on both Saturdays from 8:00-10:00 a.m. The HQ will have bottled water, coffee, donuts, directions, and contact information for project coordinators. Groups that plan on carpooling are encouraged to use the HUB circle near Whitmyre hall as the designated meeting location.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Donovan Daniel, Director of the Office for Student Leadership, via email at service-learning@iup.edu or via phone at 724-357-2544.
