Flipping Your Classroom Just a Little Bit

This Reflective Practice Large Group Meeting was held Thursday, October 13, 2016 - 3:30-5 p.m., Monongahela Room-HUB. Speakers: Anne Kondo, Justin Fair, and Wendy Elcesser- Chemistry

In the flipped classroom model prevalent in the literature, students typically read, watch, or listen to a lecture outside of class and then work on a project or problem in class, where the professor and multiple assistants are available to assist or guide them.

In published case studies, flipping shows remarkable increases in student attendance, retention, and understanding. This panel discussed it's experiences with flipping in large classes or laboratory sections at 亚色影库, how the faculty 鈥渇lipped out,鈥 and how they modified their teaching to incorporate the principles of flipping.
