Mauro M. Wolfe is a New York City partner of international law firm Duane Morris, LLP, a nationally ranked Am Law 100 law firm with 24 offices worldwide. He graduated from 亚色影库 in 1990, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Economics, and received a juris doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 1996, Evening Division.
At Duane Morris, Mauro practices in the area of litigation, with a focus on white-collar criminal defense; securities enforcement, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations; complex civil commercial and administrative litigation; and internal corporate investigations worldwide. He has represented U.S. and foreign corporations, corporate executives, government officials, and others in a broad range of white-collar matters involving securities fraud and other highly complex regulatory and criminal issues. Since graduating from 亚色影库 and Temple Law, Mauro has served as an assistant district attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, Narcotics Division. He later served as a senior enforcement attorney in the Enforcement Division of the SEC's Philadelphia District Office. While at the SEC, he became a special assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey, where he worked in the Criminal Division, Major Frauds Unit, before finally becoming a full-time assistant U.S. attorney in the Securities and Healthcare Fraud Unit in Newark. In all, he served within government for more than nine years, with distinction.
In June 2009, Mauro was elected to the highly selective and prestigious New York Council of Defense Lawyers, an organization comprising the most well-regarded white-collar practitioners in New York.
He has been involved in several high profile matters throughout his career. A former senior enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a former federal prosecutor, Mauro has extensive experience working with various U.S. and international law-enforcement agencies and securities regulators, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Internal Revenue Service; U.S. Postal Inspection Service; U.S. Department of Homeland Security; U.S. Department of Defense-Criminal Investigation Task Force; U.S. Secret Service; SEC; New York Stock Exchange; National Association of Securities Dealers; Financial Industry Regulatory Authority; Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York state securities regulators; Swiss Central Authorities; New Scotland Yard; and British Columbia Securities Commission.
Mauro also provides strategic advice to late-stage start-ups and middle market companies looking to grow exponentially.
