Virtual 5K Benefits 亚色影库 Food Pantry

The College of Health and Human Services鈥 Service Committee and the Office of Alumni and Friends are co-hosting a virtual walk/run 5k starting Saturday, November 21, through Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5k at any location of their choice. All registration proceeds benefit the 亚色影库 Food Pantry.

Culinary Arts Chefs Published in Journal of Culinary Education Best Practice, Special COVID-19 Edition

The Center for Advancement of Foodservice Education (CAF脡) recently published a COVID-19 special edition of their Journal for Culinary Education Best Practices, which highlights the many challenges that culinary educators are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The College of Health and Human Services announce that two of our faculty, Chef Thomas Barnes and Chef Melinda McIsaac, were selected for publication in this Special Edition, Volume 3, Issue 1.

Kim Receives HHS Outstanding Teacher Recognition

Bitna Kim, Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, received the 2019鈥20 Outstanding Teaching Award at the College of Health and Human Services鈥 30th annual awards聽recognition ceremony, held virtually聽on May 7, 2020.聽

Wachter Receives SGSR and HHS Outstanding Research Recognition

Jan Wachter received the 2019鈥20 Outstanding Researcher award at the College of Health and Human Services鈥 annual awards聽recognition, held virtually聽on May 7, 2020, and was recently selected to receive the Dean鈥檚 Award for Outstanding Research, sponsored virtually by the School of Graduate Studies and Research.

Stenger Receives HHS Outstanding Service Recognition

Leslie Stenger, assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science, was recognized during a virtual Zoom ceremony in the College of Health and Human Services as the recipient of the 2019鈥20 Outstanding Service Award.

Lewis Receives HHS Outstanding Academic Advisement Recognition

John Lewis was recognized at the College of Health and Human Services鈥 30th annual awards, held virtually聽on May 7, 2020, with the 2019鈥20 Outstanding Academic Advisement Award.
