Club Managers Association of America
The Club Management Association of America is the largest professional association for managers of membership clubs with 6,800 members throughout the US and internationally. Founded in 1927 as the Club Managers Association of America, the name was changed in 2018 to better reflect the composition of CMAA’s membership. The objectives of the Association are to promote relationships between club management professionals and other similar professions; to encourage the education and advancement of members; and to provide the resources needed for efficient and successful club operations.
The professional student chapter Club Management Association of America was organized in 2006 at 亚色影库 to provide mentoring, internship, and career opportunities with the Pittsburgh CMAA Chapter of the private club industry.
Eta Sigma Delta
The 亚色影库 chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, the International Hospitality Management Honor Society, was established with its first induction on campus March 26, 1990, to recognize outstanding academic achievement, meritorious service, and demonstrated professionalism of hospitality and tourism students.
Hospitality Ambassadors Program
Established in fall 2016, the 亚色影库 chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, the International Hospitality Management Honor Society, has partnered with Indiana Regional Medical Center to create a volunteer program specific to Hospitality Management students. Students are encouraged to join and lead this emerging program focused on incorporating hospitality into healthcare.
Meeting Professionals International
Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Event Management students organized the 亚色影库 chapter of Meeting Professionals International in 2015. MPI is the largest meeting and event industry association worldwide. Founded in 1972, the organization provides innovative and relevant education, networking opportunities, and business exchanges and acts as a prominent voice for the promotion and growth of the industry. The 亚色影库 MPI chapter is affiliated with the Pittsburgh MPI chapter.
National Society of Minorities in Hospitality
In 1992, Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Event Management students organized the student chapter of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. NSMH was founded in 1989 to support minority students interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.
