The Center for Teaching Excellence supports continuing professional development for our faculty. Through grants, benefactors, and institutional support, we are often able to run winter or summer academies. The content of these academies varies each year and contributes to the wealth of knowledge our faculty brings to 亚色影库.


The Office of the Provost, in partnership with the Center for Teaching Excellence, Office of Social Equity and Title IX, and the University College, is launching a multiyear initiative to support faculty and staff professional development training on inclusive practices to support student success. Over the next five years, we have partnered with the  to further our commitment to student success by investing in our most vital asset: our people. You can also read more about the ACUE program and hear from 亚色影库 faculty members who have completed 亚色影库’s “Building Inclusive Teaching Practices” course.

ACUE’s mission is to ensure student success through quality instruction by providing courses, pathways, and certifications endorsed by the American Council on Education. In spring 2024, we will be offering faculty and staff the opportunity to enroll in the ACUE course "." Faculty and staff will learn evidence-based practices to boost student persistence and completion, along with a sense of belonging on campus—all of which align with our institutional strategic plan.

Of the tens of thousands of individuals who have completed ACUE’s courses:

  • 95 percent found the course content relevant to their work.
  • 96 percent found the course helpful in refining their teaching practice.
  • 91 percent would recommend the course to a colleague.
